Support for several displays, better Mac support

Version 2.0 adds better support for several displays and works around a bug on the Mac with several displays. Here is a list of new features:

  • added Display object with display ID, height, width, (global) x and (global) y
  • added Display.createScreenShot() to create a screenshot of a specific display
  • added Display.writeScreenShotToFile() to write a screenshot of a specific display to a file
  • added getDisplays() to get a Display[] array of displays
  • added getDefaultDisplay() to get the main display
  • added getServoyWindowDisplay() to get the display the current Servoy window is on
  • added createScreenShots() to get a byte[][] array with screenshot data of all displays
  • added defaultFileFormat property to get / set the default format used (default is jpg)
  • fixed black screenshot issues on Macs with several monitors; due to a bug in Apple's JVM it is no longer possible to capture a screenshot of a Servoy window that is between two displays

Version 1.0 released

Today we added a new plugin to our collection of free plugins: the ScreenShot-Plugin. The plugin does what the name suggests, it creates screenshots of the Servoy window (or any other screen region) in various formats. The images created can either be saved to a file or retrieved as a byte[] (image data), that can be stored in a BLOB column for example.
